What the course is about

GIS course makes students acquainted with Geographical information systems and possibilities of their utilization. GIS is introduced as a tool for obtaining, managing and analyzing of spatial data. The main point of view is a possibility of using GIS as analytical tool for geodata processing. Except theoretic basis students master working with a GIS software, creating of spatial data and solving simple analyses.

Credits, semester and duration according to the FAPPZ study plan 2026/2027. Annotation and guarantor according to the syllabus in the CZU course catalogue. The plan may change for the year you start.
